Dear Old Boys,

We are pleased to advise the engagement of a new Principal Ms Silvana Rossetti starting in Term 1 2021.

This marks a major milestone as the first female Principal to lead the college.

Here is an extract from the official announcement from Sydney Catholic Schools:

Silvana is currently the Assistant Principal, Teaching and Learning at Catherine McAuley, Westmead. Silvana has strong leadership experience working as Assistant Principal at both Domremy College, Five Dock and Bethlehem College Ashfield. In her years of leadership Silvana has demonstrated a comprehensive understanding of the school community, a passion for a strong learning agenda and commitment to an effective partnership with the leadership team and school staff. Over her career she has had experience teaching and leading in all contexts; girls, boys and in coeducational settings. The enthusiasm she brings to the role is reflective of her dedication to pursue excellence in the leadership of teaching and learning.

Silvana is a gifted educator and a committed, faith-filled leader. She is excited to be moving into the principal role at Marist College Eastwood to continue the great work of the College as a thriving Catholic community in the Marist tradition. Silvana looks forward to working with the College leadership team to shape confident, independent young men of faith who are creative and collaborative thinkers.

This is an energising time for the students, staff and community of Marist College Eastwood and we congratulate Silvana on this significant appointment.

We would like to welcome Silvana Rossetti and look forward to working alongside her to further the relationship between the College and Old Boys.
